Olivia Laney Edwards graduated from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois with
a degree in Journalism. She was the first woman staff photographer for The Denver Post
and worked there from 1969 to 1971. After raising her family, she returned publicly to
photography a few years ago with a renewed interest in photography as art.

" I enjoyed using Polaroid's SX-70 and 600 cameras and film until Polaroid stopped
making the film. The quality of these Polaroid photographs is jewel-like to me, and in my
early Polaroid work, I sometimes hand-manipulated the photographs with a burnishing
tool to achieve an impressionistic, watercolor look. For the past few years, I have been
using digital photography. I especially love to capture the partial blur of movement and
also, the patterns of our earth."

Ms. Edwards has shown her work in Denver and Boulder, Colorado and in Nags Head,
North Carolina.
